Hospital cuts - public meeting

A HOSPITAL campaign group will host a public meeting in Worthing this Saturday to discuss the threat to health services.

Politicians and union officials from across the country will speak against the proposed cuts to Worthing and Southlands hospitals and other services nationwide.

Guest speakers include John McDonnell MP, a challenger for the Labour party leadership, who has criticised his party's policies on the NHS.

Staff from Worthing Hospital will also speak from the frontline on the devastating effects to patient care the threatened cuts and closures will have.

The meeting '” organised by the Worthing branch of the Keep Our NHS Public campaigning group '” will take place at 2pm at the Richmond Room, Stoke Abbott Road.

Questions and contributions from the audience will be welcomed.
