Hospital cuts latest
THE Trust which runs the Conquest looks set to recomme nd that Accident snd Emergency and the children's ward should stay at the hospital.
But it appears obstetrics will close at either Hastings or the DGH at eastbourne.
A series of proposals are set to be unveiled shortly.
East Sussex Hospitals Trust has made a series of recommendations which will shortly go public.
24-hour a and e is likely to remain at both hospitals.
The Trust is also not making a recommendation to close the paediatric ward.
A special care baby unit at one of the two hospitals is likely, however, to go.
