A TEAM of 30 people undertook a gruelling challenge to help raise money for a hard-up hospice.
The group took part in the Three Peaks Challenge, where they had to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours in aid of St Leonards-based St Michael’s Hospice.
More than £7,000 has been collected, with more still to come following the successful fundraiser.
Expedition leader Tim Hodgson said: “It was an amazing trip. I was so pleased and proud that the whole team, including the support team, made it, even though we experienced some delays.
“It was a great feeling climbing Snowdon and then making it down to the hotel in time to have our buffet and a drink at the bar.
“I’m also really delighted with the amount we have raised for such a worthy local cause.”
The expedition was held in September and members handed over the money to the hospice this week.
