Dozens of bargain hunters flocked to St Michael’s Hospice Spring Fayre last Saturday (May 14), raising almost £10,500 for the charity.
Stalls were packed with a wide variety of items for sale including plants, clothes, shoes, toys, books, DVD’s, and scrumptious homemade cakes. Raffles, a Tombola and refreshments were also available.
A Hospice Spokesperson said the day was a resounding success, adding: “It was also a credit to the hard work of the Hastings and St Leonards Support Group who work tirelessly all year round to raise much needed funds for the Hospice.
“The sun shone and scores of people eagerly awaited the Grand Draw, with a top prize of £250.
“The atmosphere was great and everyone’s enjoyment of the well organised event was reflected in the final total raised, which was an incredible £10,449.01!
“St Michael’s Hospice would like to thank everyone who turned out for the Spring Fayre and for all the support.”
The next event from the Hastings and St Leonards Support Group is the Coffee Morning and Bazaar on Saturday June 4, 10.15-12pm. There will be the opportunity to browse lots of great stalls and enjoy tea and cake. Entrance 50p.
