Hospice appeal for Half-Marathon runners

A CASH-strapped charity is appealing for runners to take part in the upcoming Hastings Half-Marathon on its behalf.

St Michael’s Hospice, in Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards, said it needs to raise £3.6 million over the next financial year to keep services running so is keen to get public support.

The charity looks after terminally-ill people in Hastings and St Leonards and the rest of 1066 Country.

This year’s race takes place on Sunday, March 20.

If anyone would like to run for St Michael’s Hospice, either in the Hastings Half or if they have a place in the London Marathon, call Marcia Dart on 01424 456381 for sponsorship forms, help with setting up a Justgiving page and a t-shirt or running vest in the hospice’s colours.

The charity also has a hospitality tent at the Hastings Half start/finish, with free hot drinks and cakes for its runners.
