The event, which will be held on Saturday April 15, 11-2pm, includes an egg-citing Easter trail around the cattery with the opportunity for children to receive a goody bag prize at the end. There will also be an Easter raffle, competition, face painting and scrumptious homemade cakes

Visitors will also have the chance to meet the wonderful range of four-legged friends currently residing at the centre, who are hoping to find their forever homes.

Bluebell Ridge centre manager, Myra Grove says last year’s fun day went down a storm so they had to make it an annual event. “With so many things going on at Easter we’d only expected a few families to turn up and prepared just twelve goodie bags for the children, but sixty came along! It was unbelievable.

“Many people remarked that it was so nice to have a free family event and support the cats. We’re hoping that this year will be just as successful.”

Entry to the event is free but visitors are invited to dig deep for the donation buckets. Funds raised on the day will go towards the animals in the care of the centre.

Bluebell Ridge is owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings branch of the RSPCA. It is a separate charity within the national body and is entirely self-financing. Each year the branch has to raise more than £150,000 and relies on the support of the public to continue its vital work.
