Hooded man in his late 30s robs schoolboy

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was robbed of his schoolbag early one morning after a hooded man stopped and asked him for the time.

The terrified teenager was in Briscoes Walk on May 15 when he was approached by the man at 7.25am.

The boy, who was wearing his William Parker Sports College uniform, stopped to answer the man before he grabbed his McKenzie back pack.

He tried to hold onto his bag but ended up falling to the floor and hurting his arm.

Hastings PCSO Lucy Paffett said: “The school boy was very shocked by the incident but fortunately he did not receive any serious physical injuries. “I’m hoping that as this was a busy time of the morning that someone may have witnessed the incident or seen a man matching the description running through the sports centre car park or into Holmesdale Gardens.
