The Westfield Christmas lights are turned on throughout December and Amanda Hildreth, Community Fundraiser at St Michael’s Hospice says it transforms the village in to a festive delight.

“Seeing the Westfield lights is a fantastic experience for families and friends of all ages to enjoy,” she said. “Last year Westfield raised an incredible £8,400 for the Hospice.”

The Blacklands Winter Wonderland lights up at 35, St Helen’s Park Road, Hasting on Friday, November 27, 6.30pm.

Amanda says it’s a sight to behold.

“Last year Paul and Rosina Brockington transformed their front garden in to a snowy winter wonderland, raising over £4,000 for St Michael’s.

“This year the big switch on, with over 20,000 lights, will be full of entertainment including a spectacular firework display by Renegades Pyrotechnics, Christmas carols from the Melodians Choir, a raffle draw and a burger stall supported by the Round Table.”

A new addition to the Hospice Christmas lights is 5, Hillside Road, Bexhill. Andy McCracken lights up his home for charity every year, and after hearing about the devastating fire at the Hospice, chose to support them during his 2015 festive light display. Amanda said: “Andy certainly knows how to put on a fantastic show and it’s one not to miss!”
