A religious group set off on a ‘pilgrimage for peace’ from Rock-a-Nore to Brighton on Monday, May 30.

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness, or Hare Krishna, walked 40 miles along the seafront over five days.

The group sang, danced and chanted their way with two oxon pulling a cart with religious deities on, handing out sweets and leaflets to passers-by.

The ‘pilgrimage’ was to share four ideas to bring about peace and happiness: cow protection, compassion for all, vegetarianism and simple living.
