WHERE are they now? Nuala Gaffney would love to renew friendship with two school pals of more than half a century ago.

Nuala was chums with Nina Wilmshurst and Joan Beacher when they were all at Rumboldswhyke School in Chichester. A 1950/51 school photo shows all three of them.

But Nuala has now idea where they are now.

Nina '“ Nuala believes '“ lived in Chichester, but she hasn't seen her since leaving school at the age of 15. Joan '“ Nuala believes '“ came from Boxgrove.

"And we were all best friends at school, from infant school right through."

Nuala was born in St Pancras, Chichester, one of six children.

"My father was in farming," she recalls. 'Charlie' Bushell was one of four brothers and was a lovely man.

"He was very jovial, never miserable, always happy. He was a well-known figure in Chichester. Everyone knew him when the market was on. He was a cattle farmer and then went into arable. They were getting older and the four brothers decided that the animals took up too much time.

"Their farms were in Sidlesham and Selsey, and the sons of one of my uncles are still farming in Hunston at the moment."
