A VOMITING bug this week closed two wards at the Conquest Hospital this week.
Up to 15 patients suffered from diarrhoea and sickness at the hospital on The Ridge.
The bug broke out last Friday (November 25) in Egerton ward, which looks after patients recovering from strokes, and in Baird ward, which treats heart patients, on Tuesday.
As of Wednesday, Egerton ward was reopened but Baird ward remained closed to new admissions.
It was believed the bug was norovirus but tests came back negative, a Conquest spokesman said.
