Hastings university closure campaign meeting tonight

A public meeting to discuss the campaign to stop the university campus closure is being held tonight (Wednesday, May 4).

Unions have organised a meeting at Azur at the Marina Pavilion in St Leonards to highlight the progress of the fight against the University of Brighton’s decision to close its Hastings campus.

Hastings Borough Council leader Peter Chowney and various union representatives will speak at the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm.

Mark Abel, from the University and College Union, Unison’s Carole Chick and Ré Poko, from the University of Brighton Student Union, will make presentations.
