Hastings police have donated £300 to Café des Arts to help fund the purchase of new technology, such as cameras and laptops.
The café, based in Robertson Street, is part of Autism Sussex Ltd and offers those with autism the opportunity to develop their skills in the work place, which aims to help with their future employment. The new technology will help trainees communicate with future employers.
Service development manager Cecile Roberts said: “This is invaluable for purchases of audio and filming equipment to assist trainees who struggle with social and communication skills in interviews.”
The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
