Hastings Philharmonic Choir

After our exciting singing workshops of the summer the choir resumes rehearsals on September 10, preparing for our concert on November 15 at St Clements Church.

The concert will include Berlin Mass, Saint-Saën’s Oratorio de Noel and Mozart’s Solemn Vespers, which are not really solemn at all, but gloriously uplifting!

The first rehearsal will follow the AGM, which starts at 6.30pm so we should have time to make some headway, probably with the Vespers.

In April the choir will perform Orff’s fabulous Carmina Burana and may include some early preparation for it this year. We would love to have singers from other choirs join us for this Spring concert.

It’s great fun and a delight to sing. In fact the choir welcomes new members at any time, so why not give us try. We are a very warm and friendly choir of some 80 members.

The choir meets at the Tabernacle in Cambridge Road, usually at 7.15pm on Wednesdays.
