Hastings RNLI crew members took part in the search of a missing fishing vessel in the English Channel last night (Wednesday, January 28).
The lifeboatmen set off at around 10.30pm to assist crews from Dover and Dungeness.
A coastguard rescue helicopter, as well as a French search and rescue helicopter joined the mission after the Belgian-registered boat was reported missing in the Strait of Dover, 10 miles off the Kent coast.
The vessel had four people on board.
The Dungeness lifeboat was launched just after 5pm yesterday and the Dover lifeboat joined the search about two hours later.
Hastings lifeboat returned home at around 4am this morning (Thursday) but remains on standby as the search resumes.
