Hastings Electronics and Radio Club

On Wednesday, March 25, Richard Putnam (G0ILN) gave a historical talk entitled, In celebration of Morse, which took place at the Taplin Centre. Richard’s entertaining talk provided an insight into the life of Samuel Morse.

Richard explained how the Morse code system was developed and introduced amidst the fraught civil war period with some fascinating insights.

The club was also pleased to see new faces at the club, including one who has become a new member with others showing interest in joining also.

On Saturday, April 25, the club will be holdings its Spring Auction of used and surplus equipment at the Holy Redeemer Church Hall. Doors open 1.30pm with bidding due to start around 2.15pm. Non-members are most welcome.
