Hastings & East Sussex Philatelic Society

A successful and entertaining 91st season ended mid July, we look forward, therefore, to 2015 - 2016, the society’s 92nd year.

Thursday September 3rd, the programme opener, comprises half an evening for our members to show “What I Collect”, on 2 sheets, (per subject). The second half, one of our most respected members, Ron Peters, will display his new collecting direction.

Thursday 17th September, President’s Night, (let’s see what Kevin can come up with this year), plus the first club Auction of the year, come along to pick up the bargains.

Thursday 1st October, the Evening is entitled Competitions and how to win them. Competitive Philately has always been part of society culture, in recent years it has been harder to tempt members into rearrange part of their collection into a club competition entry. This an attempt to change that, using the experience of those who have been successful in this field.

Saturday 10th October, a diary date for Stamp, Postcard and Postal History collectors, The South of England Stamp Fair and Convention takes place at the South of England Showground, Ardingly. This is promoted by The Association of Sussex Philatelic Societies, ASPS, a group of people who work very hard for Sussex Philately.

The Club meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at The Taplin Centre, Healy House, Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards, more details from Tony Calton 01424434496
