A trio of musicians have banded together to organise a benefit gig in aid of St Michael’s Hospice following this month’s fire.

Pete Prescott (Beatles Day), Mike Raxworthy (Hastings Beach Concert, Seafood and Wine Festival) and Andy Gunton (The Stinger Magazine, Hastings Rock radio) have set up the event, called Concert for St Michael’s, which will take place on Sunday, September 6 at the White Rock Theatre from 3pm to 10pm.

Andy said: “This event will be a celebration of local musical talent and a great day out for the whole family, featuring some of the best acts from the Hastings area, all of whom are giving their services for free.

“Acts already confirmed include Liane Carroll, The Tabs, Kid Kapichi, 1066 Rockitman, Dr Savage, Rich Lown, Marie White Band and The Do Theys, with more to be announced shortly.”

Entry to Concert for St Michael’s will cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, with all proceeds going to St Michael’s Hospice.

The organisers would like to thank the White Rock Theatre and staff, Cliff Brooker, Manor Insurance, Berforts Printers, Empirical Events and Karma Security for their invaluable support towards Concert for St Michael’s.
