On Saturday, October 4, the Hastings and Rother RAYNET Group attended the Northiam Bonfire Society’s event to provide emergency communication support to marshals and user services including the police and Red Cross ambulance service.
Despite the somewhat chilly weather the rain did hold off and the event saw an excellent turn out from the general public who enjoyed the bonfire society’s procession and firework display. User services worked seamlessly together with RAYNET to ensure public safety within the Northiam procession route and bonfire field area.
The H&RRG are also pleased to announce that they will be attending next year’s Northiam Bonfire.
Next month, on Saturday, November 1, RAYNET will also be attending the Battel Bonfire Society’s main bonfire event where visitors will be able to view the procession and firework display near Battle Abbey.
The Hastings and Rother RAYNET Group would like to extend their thanks to the event organisers, the user services and Police whose co-operation and effectiveness resulted in a safe and enjoyable evening for the general public.
