SASBAH is the Sussex Association for spina bifida and hydrocephalus, and runs a monthly support group for families and carers in Hastings and Rother.

It has staged an exhibition at the Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne for the past two weeks as part of an awareness drive during its birthday celebrations.

Brett is an ambassador for SASBAH and has been supportive of the charity, including staging an afternoon tea at the Azur Restaurant St Leonards seafront.

He said: “SASBAH is a wonderful group of people and I applaud the work the charity does right across Sussex. When I was there on Saturday, I was delighted to meet some of the service users, and they were so warm and friendly. It is an honour to be involved with such a great charity.”
