Georgia Langston achieved her goal of attaining her first European medal by placing sixth and seventh in the solo and rythmic twirl sections.

With the World Championship being held in Italy in 2015, Georgia is hoping once again to be selected for the England Team and is looking for sponsorship to assist with the costs of coaching.

Georgia’s mum, Dawn Langston, said: “It is exceedingly difficult to break into the top six at this level with both Holland and Italy having full time coaches funded by their governing bodies whereas in England the contestants have to fund their own training with no help and very little recognition.

“Georgia works really hard and gives up a lot for her sport it is lovely to see her efforts paying off,” she added.

The talented twirler was invited by the National Baton Twirling Association to compete with 12 European countries.

She came fifth in the duet and then helped her team mates from Basingstoke twirl their way to second place in the twirling corps category with a Christmas theme.
