Greg Barker visits Little Common Farmer's Market

"A TERRIFIC local initiative", is how local MP Greg Barker described the Little Common Farmer's Market, following his visit to the monthly event on Thursday.

Greg visited every stall at the market, taking the opportunity to not only chat to the market sellers, and to sample the wide and varied range of produce on offer, but also to purchase many delicious items (which he was delighted to hear were mainly produced within his constituency) including, home-made marmalade, fresh cheese, pork and leek sausages, vegetables and honey.

He said: "I am so impressed with the quality of the delicious things on offer and am genuinely delighted to find so much quality produce being produced in our own back yard. I hope many more people will support this terrific local initiative."

The Little Common Farmer's Market is held on the second Thursday of every month at St Martha's Church Hall.
