Proposals to build 35 new homes in Hollington have been given the go-ahead.
Borough councillors, at their planning meeting held yesterday (Tuesday, October 20), gave their backing to the scheme put forward by Park Lane Homes (South East) Ltd.
The two- and three-bedroom properties would be built on land south of Mayfield Lane in St Leonards.
Planning officers at Hastings Borough Council recommended the scheme be given the go-ahead.
The authority received several letters of objection from residents ahead of yesterday’s meeting.
Objectors cited traffic, parking problems, overlooking and noise as their main areas of concern.
