Gnome mercy shown in 'massacre' of Broad Street

THEY were shown gnome mercy on Friday the 13th but instead were tied to lampposts and killed.

People in Seaford were shocked when they visited Broad Street on Friday morning for every lamppost had a garden gnome tied to it.

Each had an implement embedded in its head which included rakes and axes complete with fake blood.

The person who did it and the reasons are unknown but the Express received a number of calls from bemused readers baffled by the strange sight.
