Glass expertcomes to aid oflocal charity

Andy, who runs Glass Etc, at Rope Walk in Rye, with wife Helen, raised over £300 from customer donations.

He is a familiar face on the popular BBC television antiques show.

Andy gives glass valuations to people in return for a donation to the charity.

ARRCC chief executive Grace O’Neill said: “Helen and Andy have supported ARRCC for many years and we can’t thank them enough for their continued support and generosity.”

ARRCC stands for activities, respite, rehabilitation care centres as provides a vital role in Rye and the surrounding villages meeting the needs of adults with disabilities.

Based at the old Freda Gardham School, at New Road, Rye, It provides creative activities such as painting and sculpture.

It also has dedicated therapy treatment and counselling rooms.

Grace O’Neill said: “We aim to help our members develop abilities, learn new skills, encourage social inclusion and enable people to live independently.”

ARRCC now has three services to offer to the local community for adults with physical and sensory impairments, the elderly and the recently launched Independent Living Service. www.arrcc.org.uk.
