Give Sidley's new social club a name and win a prize

SIDLEY is about to get a much-needed new club. Folk attending its launch will have a chance to choose its name and win a prize.

The new social group will be for over-fifties living in Sidley.

The inaugural meeting will be in All Saints' Church Hall on Monday, September 15, from 2pm to 4pm.

Interim chairman Jenny Wood said this week that the meeting will be an occasion to taste some of award-winning Sidley butcher Gerald Matthews' famous sausages, to take part in a raffle, enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake and to chat and meet new friends.

The club will be open to men and women.
