Giant rabbit Ralf stolen

A GIANT bunny called Ralph was stolen from a tea garden in Arlington.

Playcats farm shop kept the three-foot long rabbit as a pet for customers to enjoy.

But he was taken along with 10 chickens and a hutch during a raid last month.

Shop director Peter Cartwright said: 'We had only just got the animals used to us so for someone to just take them is very disheartening.

'I thought Ralph would have been safe in the garden and the chickens were only ornamental, not real egg layers.

A shed was also broken into by the burglars and an air rifle, socket set and two computer game consoles with games were taken.

The disappearance of Ralph and the chickens is the third time animals have been snatched from the shop.

Another giant four-foot rabbit called, Bambi, was stolen nine months ago.

And ducks and guinea pigs were taken last year but then mysteriously returned to the shop two days later.

They were thin and died a few days afterwards.

Ralph is described as a dark grey French rabbit with pointy ears.
