Future acting stars wanted for new project

Young actors aged 15-21 from across Sussex are to be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform at the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals next year as part of Visionary Youth theatre Company ‘Hungry Wolf’.

Described as ‘Sussex’s answer to the National Youth Theatre’, Hungry Wolf have had great success on the fringe circuit in the last two years, receiving 5 star reviews for performances of ‘Growing Pains’ and ‘The Electra Project’.

The British Theatre Guide described their performance as ‘Youth Theatre at its best’ and What’sOnStage.com recounted the performance as ‘quite simply, one of the most powerful, dramatic and intense scenes ever seen’. The young actors received great press recognition, a schools tour and a slot on ITV.

This year, a new group of teens have the chance to make their mark on the Brighton and Edinburgh scene, performing ‘A Little Respect’, a darkly comic tale of revenge, forbidden love and blackmail.

A spokesman said: “This script demands brave, bright and brilliant actors, and Hungry Wolf is therefore looking for the best young actors in Sussex to make up this company.”
