PEOPLE struggling to kick their smoking habit can get free advice and tips on quitting this week.
Members of the NHS East Sussex Stop Smoking Service will be at Asda in Battle Road, St Leonards and at the Conquest Hospital on The Ridge tomorrow, Wednesday (March 14) from 10am to 2pm.
Information, advice and tips on quitting smoking, as well as a carbon monoxide test, will be available as part of No Smoking Day, which falls on Wednesday.
The service has delivered almost 4,000 stop smoking sessions since April last year.
During that time has supported almost 2,000 people to quit smoking.
The service provides a wide range of information about how to quit, such as the most appropriate stop smoking medicines, and gives advice and tips on how to cope with withdrawal symptoms.
There are around 80,000 deaths each year in the UK as a result of smoking-related disease.
