The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for Hastings this afternoon (Monday, August 24).

Heavy rain has caused river levels on the Hollington Stream to rise between Hollington Old Lane and Harley Shute.

Although the showers are passing through quickly, and impacts should be short lived, further showers may occur later today and overnight.

The Environment Agency is warning that possible localised flooding may affect Stonehouse Drive and is urging residents to remain prepared.

Call Floodline on 0345 988 1188, select option 1 and enter Quickdial number 012445 for more information.
