Firefighters tackle Hastings bus blaze

Passengers were evacuated from a burning bus in Hastings this morning (December 1).

Firefighters were called to Downs Road, shortly before 10.40am, to tackle the blaze.

Around seven people were on the bus when it caught fire.

The blaze is believed to have started in the engine.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Firefighters cleaned up the area and made it safe before leaving the incident in the hands of the bus operator.
