Hastings town centre will be taking on a festive theme next Saturday (December 13).
In addition to a local market and children’s rides, there will be seasonal music and entertainment from morning until 3.30pm.
The highlight will be procession through the streets at 1pm led by the Cinque Ports Corps of Drums and featuring a team of adorable working huskies pulling a sleigh. The procession will also include a stilt-walking Ice Queen and other characters including Mickey and Minnie.
Entertainment in Wellington Place kicks off at 11am with a fire juggler, unicyclist and balloon modeller followed by duet, Santa’s Singers.
Hastings Philharmonic Choir will then play a selection of music from its Christmas Carols for All Concert to be staged at St Mary-in-the-Castle the following Saturday (December 20).
The finale at 3pm will be Dickensian Choral group playing seasonal favourites.
The day has been organised by Roger Crouch on behalf of the Hastings Town Centre Market and Costa Coffee which joined forces with Hastings Town Centre Management to put on the event.
