Ferring man attacked in burglary

Two to four burglars broke into the 25-year-old man's home in Sea Lane at 11pm on Wednesday and demanded money.

They then hit him on the head with a blunt object, causing a head wound.

The men stayed in the property for five minutes and then left with some cash.

The property is secluded by a long drive and trees and the police do not know if the burglars had a vehicle parked on the road or on the drive.

The men, unknown to the victim, wore jackets and possibly scarfs.

The victim received hospital treatment and was badly shaken by the incident.
