Father Christmas runners get ready for annual fancy dress challenge

THE annual Santa Fun Run in aid of St Michael’s Hospice is to take place this Sunday (December 11).

The fun-filled action will take place at Alexandra Park at 10am, with courses of either 2.5km or 5km.

Fancy dress is optional but there will be prizes for the best dressed Santas. Costumes for adults and children will be available to buy on the day for £4 and £3.50 respectively.

Also tomorrow (Saturday), St Augustine’s Chapel at the hospice is hosting Here Comes Christmas, an evening celebrating festive words and music, from 7pm.

On Thursday (December 15) the hospice hosts a tea dance at 2.30pm and the following day, Friday (December 16), there will be a Christmas Soul Party at Horntye Sports Complex from 7.30pm.

Card players can enjoy a whist drive on Sunday (December 18) at 2.30pm and bingo is the game on Wednesday, (December 21) at 2pm.

Both these events are at the hospice.
