Fashion with a heart

A Fairtrade fashion show will be held on Wednesday May 14 at Grosvenor Park in Brookfield Road.

The event will showcase ethically produced clothing from local shops and suppliers and also feature raffles with prizes, refreshments, and a presentation about the production of fairtrade cotton from seeds on plants right through to the factory.

Fairtrade campaigner Jack Doherty commented: "This is a first for Bexhill, a fairtrade fashion show, and also a development for Bexhill as a fairtrade town. People just think of fairtrade products as tea, coffee, bananas and other items but in fact there are over 3,000 products on the shelves in the UK at the moment."
