THE Luck family will be hosting the popular Peridot Ball for a third year on Firday, August 29, in memory of their loved ones and to raise funds for charity.

Hayley Luck, of Parker Road, along with husband David, and daughters Nicole Luck, Kylie O’Neilla and Aimee Holland, and her husband Paul, organised the event in 2012 in aid of two charities important to the family - The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Stroke Association.

Organised in 2012 after losing Hayley’s father to prostate cancer and her mother-in-law to a stroke, the family wanted to hold an event in their memory to raise money and awareness about the two conditions.

Hayley said: “The first year we raised £2,400 and last year we raised £2,200, so I’d really love it if we could raise at least £2,500 this year That would be fantastic!

“Everything is going really well and we have had some fantastic prizes dontated to us from local businesses for the charity auction, including the use of a GTI86 sports car for the weekend, donated by St Leonards Motors, and a beautiful signed poster from the Red Arrows. We’ve got some great quirky pieces.”

Held at Leeford Place Hotel, Battle, the evening includes a three-course meal, luxury raffle, auction and late night disco.

Tickets cost £32 and can be purchased by contacting Hayley on 01424 712875 or by emailing
