A local charity is holding a family fun day to help raise awareness and funds to continue to help some of the most vulnerable people in the Hastings and Rother area.
Surviving Christmas has been hosting Open Christmas for the homeless and lonely over Christmas for over 30 years. The charity also packs and distributes hundreds of food hampers to families struggling financially; the elderly and housebound across, Hastings, Bexhill, Battle, Rye and beyond.
The charity’s next fundraiser is a family fun day from 11am until 5pm on Saturday, September 19, at The Hastings Centre, The Ridge, Hastings.
There will be fun for all ages, including games, face painting, a tombola, raffle, bouncy castle, entertainment, food and refreshments. If anyone has any raffle prizes they could donate to the charity for this event, call 07599 556138.
