Family escape Broadwater fire

A FAMILY escaped with their lives after arsonists set fire to a bin on their front porch.

A couple and their three children were woken by a smoke alarm at around 4.30am today after the recycling bin on the porch of their Normandy Road home was set on fire.

The family escaped through the back of the house before fire crews arrived and extinguished the blaze.
