CHILDREN at a performing arts school spent five days working on a musical before performing it in front of the audience.
Stagecoach Theatre School held their annual Summer Workshop at the Phoenix Arts Centre last week.
This year students worked on Fame The Musical, inspired by the 1980s film of the same title. Around 40 children, aged between eight and 18, took part in the five-day workshop at the Phoenix Arts Centre.
Principal Avril Crawford said: “What makes our workshop unique is that we produce an entire musical in just five days. That includes the auditions which take place on the Monday morning. During the week workshop students get to experience the exciting process of casting, rehearsing and performing. It’s a fun week but undeniably hard work. Everyone worked extremely hard and I am always amazed at how much can be achieved in just five days. The final performance was incredible. I am so proud of them all.” For more information visit www.stagecoach.co.uk/hastings or call 01424 772255.
