IT was happy ever after for the Wicked Queen, as Sunday’s performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs had an extra special ending.

Actor Lucy Williamson, who plays the queen everyone loves to hate in the pantomime at The White Rock Theatre, received an on-stage surprise following the pantomime.

At the end of the show, Sid Owen, who plays Prince Ricky, announced that there was a very special guest waiting in the wings. A handsome man walked out onto the stage and, taking the hand of the Wicked Queen, went down on one knee.

Taking a diamond ring from his pocket, Lucy’s partner Dan Kemp asked her to be his wife. In true fairytale form, she accepted and confetti rained down from above as the theatre erupted with applause.

David Sismore, White Rock Theatre marketing manager, said: “Everyone in the cast and crew of Snow White and all the members of staff at the White Rock Theatre wish Dan and Lucy every happiness.”
