SINGER and songwriter Emeli Sandé got a taste of Hastings’ amusements, when she spent a day in town filming for a music video.

The soul/R&B artist, who has notched up number one singles with Read All About It and Next To Me, was spotted on the swings on the West Hill on Sunday (March 11), and at the carousel on the seafront that evening.

She took time out to sign autographs for fans during filming for the video of My Kind of Love.

There must be something in the air down here as she is not the only musician to choose Hastings as the location for a music video.

The Seahorses, featuring The Stone Roses guitarist John Squire, shot the video for 1997 release Love is the Law along the seafront, hip-hop band dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip, filmed Get Better in the Lacuna Place offices in 2010, and folk ensemble Skinny Lister’s first official music video was shot here in December 2011.

Not to mention a host of independent films, episodes of Foyle’s War, and Neil Jordan’s vampire movie Byzantium, which all feature Hastings and St Leonards.
