Plans for East Sussex free school move forward

A GROUP of parents, teachers, and other members of the community are looking for support in their quest to set up a free school in East Sussex.

The East Sussex free school group are making progress, and have now finalised their ethos and vision for the school, which will take a traditional approach with a focus on discipline and pupils’ learning, attainment, and success.

The location has not yet been finalised as it depends on demand from parents, but could be anywhere in the region.

Plans are already in place for the curriculum, school day and extra-curricular aspects.

The first year group is expected to be pupils currently in year five of primary school, but all are welcome to be involved in the creation of the school.

Those interested are invited to join the steering group, or just pledge their support.
