Easter egg hunt

The Charters Ancaster school Easter Egg Hunt and Fair event was well attended by children, parents, friends, relations and many new faces all joining in the fun.

The weather was good for the most part, with a only one brief shower driving the 250 attendees into the hall for teas, coffees and hot cross buns.

Over 90 children successfully gathered all the clues left by the Easter Bunny on the school Nature Trail. They were each rewarded with an Easter Egg for their efforts and ingenuity in solving the riddle.

The Fancy Dress competition was very well supported with numerous entries in each of the three age groups. The judge had a difficult time choosing between them, as all the entrants looked the part.

Among the other diversions on offer were egg and spoon races, craft activities and a variety of games.

Sarah Norman, the organiser, commented: "We were thrilled by the turnout, we were never quite sure about the weather. I would like to say a big thank you to all who helped and supported the event to make it such a success and don't forget to tell your friends about the next CAF event, the summer fair on Saturday June 27 in the school grounds.
