AT a recent meeting at St Johns Church Hall, Brittany Road, St Leonards, Amanda Ferras, a wildlife photographer and artist demonstrated on how to paint animal fur.
Amanda started her demonstration by producing a detailed drawing of a tiger’s eye with fur round it. She then proceeded to give details of techniques and materials used to paint animal portraits.
Throughout the demonstration Amanda talked of her exploits in photographing wildlife in Africa and India which was very entertaining and provoking many questions from her audience.
Amanda has inspired many of us to go home and start painting animal portraits.
The winner of this month’s competition was won by Janet Lutkin.
