Drink drive arrest after crash

Just after 9.15pm, a green Renault car mounted the kerb and crashed into a street sign outside Simply Italian in the High Street.

Police were called and the driver, a 24-year-old woman from Netherfield, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

A passenger in the car, a 16-year-old girl also from Netherfield, was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings complaining of a sore shoulder.

The driver has been released on bail until February 23 when she must attend Hastings Police Station.
