Don’t forget about Arun’s wacky sports

PEOPLE living in Arundel and Littlehampton are being urged to celebrate the Olympics by taking part in some of the more memorable sporting events happening right on their doorsteps.

As athletes from all over the world get ready to go for gold in London this week, residents are being reminded of the range of competitions they can get involved with in the Arun district all year round.

Councillor Paul Dendle, Arun District Council’s cabinet member for the environment who is also responsible for events and tourism activity, said: “We’re lucky to have some very special competitive events here in Sussex by the Sea, from the International Bognor Birdman Competition in August to the Pagham Pram Race on Boxing Day and the annual Littlehampton Pancake Olympics.”
