A GROUP of disadvantaged children will be able to enjoy the great outdoors in style after receiving three top-of- the-range mountain bikes.

County councillor Phil Scott was approached by staff at Hazel Lodge children’s home in Hastings.

Cllr Scott managed to secure £700 from Sussex Police, Tesco in Church Wood Drive and Hollington Sport for Good Causes.

The money was used to buy the bikes from ATB Sales of Hastings who gave a genous discount on the cost of three Marin models.

Cllr Scott said: “I am so pleased that following on from the generosity of the three funders and the heavy discount given by ATB Sales where the bikes were purchased, that our young people can now go out and enjoy the cycle routes and country parks across the county.

“I would like to thank our three generous funders for making our young people’s wish come true.”
