Day to focus on protecting children

CELEBRATING International Children’s Day, Hastings Women’s Voice is hosting an event at St Mary-in-the-Castle.

It is to take place tomorrow (Saturday, November 24) from 11am to 3pm and all local children and adults are welcome to attend.

On offer will be traditional dance, live music and performance, craft workshops, hair braiding, storytelling and many other activities.

Hastings Women’s Voice, a group which aims to promote the well-being of women and children, has been hosting this event for a number of years. Last year more than 300 adults and children attended.

International Children’s Day is a global event aiming to highlight the need to protect children and allow all children to have an education.
