A CHARITY that looks after terminally-ill patients is holding a whole host of fundraising events this month to boost its coffers.
St Michael’s Hospice, in Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards, is holding bingo at the Arthur Easton Centre within the hospice grounds on Wednesday (February 15) and on Wednesday, February 29, from 2pm to 4pm.
A tea dance will be held on Thursday, February 23 at the same venue from 2.30pm.
Tickets just £3 and include refreshments.
There will also be a ballroom and Latin and sequence dancing tea dance next Thursday (February 16) at the Arthur Easton Centre from 2pm to 4.30pm. Entry is just £3 and includes tea or coffee. For further details, please contact Derek or Jenny on 01424 848343.
A whist drive is also on at the same venue on Sunday, February 19 from 2.30pm and entry is £2.50.
The hospice is also taking part in the Fat Tuesday celebrations in the Old Town and town centre on the same day from 10am to 5.30pm.
Some of the familiar brass players from the Hastings Jazz scene will put together their own New Orleans-style ‘second line’ band to lead a procession from the Old Town to the America Ground for an afternoon of music and dancing.
The Great Hospice Pub Quiz takes place on Thursday, February 23 from 7.30pm at all participating pubs.
Pubs and clubs are needed to take part and entry is just £2.50 per person for teams of up to six people. There will be small prizes for each member of the winning team at each venue and members of the team that wins overall will each receive a trophy.
