PEACEHAVEN mum-of-two Janine Lawrence decided she d had enough of the single life and went on a national TV show to help her find her perfect partner.

PEACEHAVEN mum-of-two Janine Lawrence decided she d had enough of the single life and went on a national TV show to help her find her perfect partner.

Janine, of Lincoln Avenue, appeared on the BBC 2 programme Would Like To Meet, presented by Lowri Turner.

A stylist and body language and personality experts studied her to see what they could improve and over six weeks taught Janine how to behave and dress to develop her confidence.

She was even encouraged to sing karaoke at a Brighton bar to boost her self-belief. But Janine, 34, wasn t keen to try that experience again. 'It really was sheer embarrassment. They had to bleep a lot of that particular part of the programme, she said.

At the end of the six weeks Janine went on another date to test what she had learnt. However, first she had to ask someone out. She found this the most difficult part of the programme and felt silly walking up to strangers.

But when she was successful her confidence soared. Since then she has met a man called Jim and all is going well. She said: 'I used to sit in the corner and be quiet. Now I m quite happy to chat to people,
